About James Gormley

My Philosophy

After 35, health requires a more intelligent approach.
My philosophy centres on structured training, sustainable nutrition, quality sleep and balanced lifestyle habits that support long-term health and performance.
Rather than chasing short-term results, the focus is building a system that improves energy, resilience and longevity over time.

Health and fitness have been central to my life for decades. I grew up involved in sport and developed a deep understanding of the role health and fitness play- not only in physical performance, but in mental clarity, resilience and long-term wellbeing.

As a busy business owner, I understand the challenges of maintaining health, while balancing professional demands and stress. Through years of experience, including both success and failure, I have developed a method that delivers sustainable results.

If the body cannot function well, performance in every other area of life suffers.

Early Career in Fitness

In my twenties, I worked as a personal trainer, helping hundreds of men improve their physical health, fitness, strength and confidence. During this time, I developed a strong foundation in training, discipline and behavioural change, and saw first-hand the powerful impact structured health and fitness can have on a person’s life.

Business, Pressure and Perspective

In my late twenties, I moved into the corporate world, while continuing to coach  clients privately and online.

I worked for major technology companies including Google and Meta, before becoming a successful business owner.

Like many driven individuals, this came with pressure- long hours, high stress, constant demands and the persistent drive to do more.

Without proper structure and balance, my own health began to suffer. I often pushed harder, believing more effort was the answer, until it became clear that intensity without balance leads to decline, not progress.

A serious health issue forced me to reassess my approach completely.

A Smarter, Sustainable and Holistic Approach to Health

Since then, I have adopted a long-term, holistic approach to health and performance, focused not on extremes, but on sustainability, data and balance.

Today, I continue to train consistently (and intensely), but with purpose and structure. I compete in HYROX, strength train, practice yoga and meditation- while prioritising nutrition, sleep and stress management to support both physical performance and professional demands.

I use objective health markers and data to guide decisions, ensuring my health continues to improve over time.

Experience and Perspective

Over the past two decades, I have worked with coaches, mentors and health professionals across fitness, business and personal development. This experience, combined with real-world business demands, shapes the way I now work with clients.

I understand the pressures of modern life, and the challenge of maintaining health and fitness while balancing responsibility, ambition and time constraints.

My Work Today

I now work privately with a small number of men over 35, helping them take control of their long term health.

My role is not simply to improve fitness, but to help clients understand their health, implement structure, and create a sustainable system that supports performance and longevity for decades to come.
